Razor is not a new name in the world of skates. A new hybrid skate board from the makers of razor is called sole skate. It gives you the joy and pleasure while riding. One type of roller skating that can be performed by an individual, a team, pair or a group is called Jam skating. Jam skating is a form of freestyle. Can you break-dance? Now, can you do it wearing a pair of roller skates? Jam skating is not just break-dancing it is much more. It is a combination of dance, gymnastics and skating. Basically, Jam skating gets its roots from Roller Disco, only now it combines all of the disco moves with break-dance moves, artistic type moves, gymnastics and even modern dance moves. However, people who have an indoor balance board are discovering that while it does enhance their skating and surfing, its also a fun sport all on its own. There are many videos online that show people of all ages doing all kinds of tricks on their indoor board. From hanging ten, walking from one end to the other, to ollying, or popping the board up in the air and then landing on it - still balanced on the cylinder - there are many tricks that can be learned.
In coalition with the YMCA, Element Skate Boards has created a skate camp for the youths of America. The camps run through the summer months, lasting an average of five days per session. The camp gives children the opportunity to meet some of skateboardings biggest names. The children are also taught tips and tricks to improve their skate boarding skills. They are given use of top of the line facilities, and are able to make new friends who share the same interests and hobbies. The only requirements for the camp are that the kids are between the ages of eight and seventeen, and must have all their own personal supplies and skating equipment, including safety gear.
